Forget what I said earlier.
I had a long talk with SOS earlier. I understand why my transgression was so big. She was right, this is not my home, and I was only staying here because of her, which was a mistake to begin with -- completely contrary to the purpose of my move abroad. Now that we have fallen out I am going to be selfless and leave. My staying here is an intrusion, and it's not where I should be anyways.
It's funny how quickly the fog clears, and the brilliant clairty that follows, I feel exhaulted, electric, I have plugged back into the world.
I leave England in two weeks, around the first of September. I am going to the south of France to harvest grapes and make wine. I want some physical work, I want the sun, I want mental rest. My UK visa can be accomplished just as easily from there as it can be from here. I will return to England afterwards to do what I came here to do. Cook at one of the greatest restaurants in the world. I hope she retains some fondness for me, but that is out of my hands now. My life is waiting...
