Take the extra money and find a lab that will give you a deal to match the discount you were getting before.
More time to do what you love is always a good thing...as is more money and doing what you love

From your post it really seemed like you already had it figured out, just needed that extra push... plus I'm sure
that processing places are happy to have you as a customer. One of my friends, who works at a fairly good place in Los Angeles tells me how business is getting slower and slower - I only shoot digital because I can't afford a darkroom....yet... hopefully in a few years. Looking forward to more of your photos in the future. Good luck with everything.

I'm still very new to the artform - a couple of my friends are hardcore Leica (35mm)
guys and give me shit all the time - as soon as I have something good show I'll put up my Flickr page wink
The fire photos on my page I took just the other day. I edit TV by trade, so it's a lot
more difficult to tell a story within just a single frame, as opposed to a myriad of moving images.

I will def. hit you up if I have questions - feel free to do the same, good luck with school, there are not
enough artists in the world.

Go for it I reckon. Use the extra money to save up to having your own development equipment so you don't have to use someone elses.

Unless the photolab job is the sort of thing that would lead to you eventually becoming the boss photographer in that place.
