Okay, this is annoying. For several years now, I've been trying to track down a painting I saw in high school, entitled Bureaucracy. In it, endless rows of people stand in endless lines while faceless clerks studiously glare at them behind screens. The NIN video, Closer, references these clerks frequently, but aside from that, I don't know of any other references.

Any help would be appreciated
