Tomorrow I'm going to quit my research assistant position. I have too much shit to do, and while the work is nice and the pay is better ... I can't help but wondering: every week I spend working for someone else, how many days does that keep me in graduate school longer? Does a quarter of work = another month of working on the dissertation? What is the ratio? I don't want to find out ... I'm not interested in making grad school a *lifestyle.*

Tenatively, I'm basically done reading for the exam. Now the panic can set in.
