Do you enjoy absurdist fiction? If so, I must once again recommend Christopher Moore. His work is absurdist with a supernatural twist. I read his latest work, Fool, this weekend, and it doesn't disappoint. It's a reworking of King Lear with the Fool as the protagonist, done in Moore's bawdy, irreverent style. There is much shagging.

My only disappointment is that DreamHaven Books is downsizing and moving locations, and it doesn't look like they're going to be a stop on the book tour. How the hell am I going to get my book signed?

Moore books I still need signed firsts of:
Fool
Lamb
Bloodsucking Fiends

If anyone really loves me, my birthday is coming up...

I'm seriously considering getting the new version of the Amazon Kindle. The first version looked clunky, so I wasn't about to give up on my opposition to electronic book things. But the Kindle 2 looks much more ergonomic, and its growing on me. I'm still opposed to electronic book things, but I think it could be handy. If I were to ever travel or something.

It could never replace a real book, of course.

Either way, I think I'll wait a month or so to see if there's any major bugs with the thing.

Opinions?
