I went and saw Slim Cessna's Auto Club for the second time on Sunday night, only this time I did not bring my camera, I wish I had because there were some great moments. They are seriously one of the best bands to see live, and I actually have fun at their shows, which is saying something since I have become an old man and don't really go to many shows any more.
Right now there is some dude in my apartment tearing up our bathroom floor, this is like day 18 or so of our totally "awesome" bathroom situation. We have not had a working shower or toilet in our bathroom for over two weeks, goddamn they better give us some money off next month's rent, like all of it. Sure they have provided us with another place where we can shower and shit (literally) but it sucks to walk halfway across the complex with my shower stuff every time I want to get clean. Plus, this new dude working on our apartment is totally not nice and has filled our hallway with crap so that when I have to go to work in a bit I am going to have to negotiate our hallway like it is some sort of maze. Bummer for me.
The new Murder By Death record has finally grown on me after I listened to it on the way to work for a couple of days. At first, I was not really a big fan, but that's because when I listen to CDs in the store I don't really get the full effect of the album and this record is a little more subtle than their previous efforts.
For my normal day-to-day routine not having a car is not really a big deal, but when I want to go grocery shopping it kinda sucks. Although, that gives me reason to go by the co-op and talk to cute girls. I swear I am not a hippie, I have just really gotten into herbal medicine and these teva sandals are really comfortable.
I think I am getting more work done on my chest piece this week, which is good 'cause some of the ink on the lettering fell out.
