Now everybody who knows anything about the Nordic Countrys (Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia) knows that it is very cold here in the winter. That is why we all hold our elections in the summer or early autumn, when the weather usually is such that we can have people on the streets, handing out pamflets and stuff, and hold outdoors meetings. All that is exept Finland. Yes, good old Soumi, arguably the coldest of us, next to Northern Norway, have their elections in the winter. Why? You have to ask them, like Venla. I have no idea.

What: In spite of five Royal Cups and 15 Norwegian Championships, Hanne Hauglands claim to fame came when she jumped 1.99 metres in 1997, and got the World Championship in high jumping at the age of 30.
Where: Olympic Stadium, Athens
Why: As I said: When it comes to summer athletics, it is mainly with women who run and throw far that Norway has made it's mark. In other words; It was nearly unheard of that a Norwegian girl should be able to take the gold in high jump. Norway has only five golds in outdoor track and field world championships ever, and Hanne Hauglands is the last one.

oh an on this FANTASY: Becoming the President of the US with broad support in both houses, so I can really shake up the system. (Yes I know that being born a Norwegian that will never happen, but this is the Fantasy Section)
I would Vote for ya anyday! and hey if they are gonna rewrite the consitution for the Governator i think we can work with a Norgwegian President, After all i know you would do an outstanding job and be far better for the U.S. than you know Who.
