I had a great day on Monday. Sealed the deal on my awesome new place with my man, rented the party boat for our wedding party, hung out with my cousin who just moved here, and went with my finace to get color done on his sleeve. Topped the eve off with a great burger at Casino.
Woke up late Tuesday to a call on my phone that was "withheld". Fuck that, didn't answer that shit. They left a message. It was a sheriff deputy from Henderson county, which is where my daddy lives. I thought maybe I had blown off some speeding ticket from years ago or something.
As it turned out, they were calling me because my daddy had passed away.
He actually passed away about noon on Monday, so while I was out having this great day, he was lying there dead.
It is all kind of hitting me now, and I am NOT okay.
