Enjoy your New Years as well lavey, I bet you will be one of the lucky ones drinking chapmagne and shit...hehehehe....I'll probably be swigging beer and mopping a floor...much like I spent last New Years...
Nah, I'll be slingning chapmpagne as well, just in my chef scrubs....
I've missed you, Shel. Of course, it would help if you gave me your cell number. I have pointless photos to send over the course of a predictable work day!
2. I am sooooo getting skinny after i eat and drink my face off for new years. and then our anniversary, then valentines day, then toothpicks bday then like 2009, right?
someday i will see skinny again. i hope it's not alzeimers.
Thanks, I hope you and D have a great new year's. Alma is in Champaign and heading to Chicago tomorrow to hang out with her friends from high school. I'm back in the STL workin'... no holidays off for Retail-Man
Your man rules for getting you sirius. Ive had mine for a year now and have been fiending the last few months because the antenna in my car broke. I just got a new one for xmas so on that long trip out to my girls house tommorow i can catch up on howard stern..hardattack27..some hiphop and of course firstwave. Enjoy Sirius and enjoy the New Year.
My favourite gift would probably be the generic docking alarm clock i got for my ipod. Although the sound is kind of bad because its generic its still nice to always have my music on in the background on shuffle.
Oh, Shelly, you see my ONLY gift was a new vinyl shutter I bought to replace the one that had rotted off my colonial house. How's that? Yeah, I'm a grinch, too. Can't help it. Have you noticed that road rage, and just plain, rage increases dramatically in December . . . on the part of those "observing" the holiday, anyway? I note the solstice, though. Despise driving home from work in the dark, you know.
Maybe if Christmas came every 4 years, like the Olympics, it would be tolerable.
Yes, Kate is divine. I was trying to get all up and 21st century with the You Tube thing. Techno-illiterate, but figured it out . . . along with how to PDF and zip files! Yay me! Doors a-opening . . .
Believe me, Shel, you didn't miss anything by not getting the picture I sent to your phone. Let's just say that unlimited photo messaging and a dork with too much time on his hands is a dangerous combination...
All the young ones will be leaving tomorrow morning , I know that soon I will be with them. I like to say soon although I know that could be a couple of months or longer .
There is an emptiness in my life now that they have grown up and not around all the time. Perhaps I can better use the time more wisely in making myself into that complete person, whatever that will lead to. Sounds good but anything worth while does not come for free. I just happened to start giving some thought to things while I was on your journal. Now I can come back and read what I was thinking about.
I'm only just beginning to listen to her last album. It seems more . . . subtle than the usual. But nothing wrong with that, God knows. I sustain myself for whole seasons on one nuance, as I'm sure you've noticed. I'm sure she experiments however she pleases, not being exactly one who hangs on popularity polls for her cues. Will listen more during my commute.
Every year I want fondue for New Years, but I never think to look for a fondue pot in time. You don't know where I could find one, do you? Hmmm? Remember in the 1970s, when everyone had a fondue pot?
This is a funny request also, but, knowing me now, do you have any friend whose journal and person you think I might particularly like? I'm kind of shy, but I guess I need to venture out more, even if it is mainly screenally.
For a night such as NYE I prefer to be spontaneousas far as the Year is concerned I'm looking forward to going to Europe; Belgium, France, and Spain in the late Spring/Summer
