Sybil Danning? More trivia: She was a friend of race car Champion Nikki Lauda (which I'm sure only a few people can remember how he looked like before he had this accident). Both were Austrian (like our Governator) and she was in a lot of German/Austrian productions with very funny titels (at least in a retrospective). One TV episode I would love to see right now is "Derrick - Zeichen der Gewalt" ("Derrick" was something like the "German version of Lieutenant Columbo", a TV-Series from 1974-1998).
scheisskopf:
I hate to admit it, but Apocalypto was pretty damn good. No shit. Probably better get out and see that one, I suppose.

Did I tell you that I spent much of last year in the movie theater?? Or maybe it was the year before, but I kind of miss it. In fact, since I'm in the city today, bells are jingling, the Christmas shoppers are out, I will keep in mind the advice of Petula Clark. I will go right DOWNTOWN and see a MOVIE SHOW. My favorite old art movie theatre is right up the street, and I have nothing to do until the wake I must attend at 8 p.m.

Have a lovely day.
scheisskopf:
Which do you suggest:

Sorry, I'm just having such a magnificent day-- you understand. And I must make one more recommendation:

http://www.harpers.org/Archive.html

This jumpstarted the day today. And suddenly, my latest text message from my future heartbreak just insisted that I attend an opening at her gallery, which dictates that I will no longer be attending the wake this evening.

Can things get any better?

Over and out. smile
scheisskopf:
I'm quite sure I would have loved it.

Yeah, the art show went well. I froze up and shied up at the end and got all goofy and shit. I guess I held it together most of my time spent there, but I'm afraid my awkward behaviour at the end might have gotten the best of me.

(Is there really such a word as gotten?? WTF?
scheisskopf:
I think you're right.

YEah, and...

Wendy was a vetrinarian, and was not depressed, or sad, or at the end of her rope when she blew her head off with a shotgun. IN fact, her suicide note said that she was just bored with life, and had simply done everything already.

As far as Sybil Danning, I think she just deflated...

in a shopping mall or drainage canal or something.

ooo aaa
scheisskopf:
Indeed.

scheisskopf:
I thought she and Brigitte Nielsen sauntered drunk into the Enchanted Grotto at the Playboy Mansion, passed out unnoticed, deflated, and drifted through a grate with some party balloons, used condoms, cigarette butts, and broken plastic Champagne glasses, then washed down the L.A. river to somewhere in South Central or the Downey area, and ended up entangled with some fishing line and diapers, wrapped up in the wreckage of some old junked cars and rusted baby strollers.

Apparently I was wrong.
scheisskopf:
God, I might have to save that one. tongue
scheisskopf:
YEah, that thing I was telling you about the other actress in Reform School Girls:

As you can tell, I really am trying to avoid driving down the canyon to this wake. Besides, I like commenting it up with my new pal, ShellyMC. I think I'm getting the hang of it. smile

And you guys have got me going at breakneck speed toward my 5,000th comment.
scheisskopf:
Nope.

Besides, the weather's too shitty (snowing), and it would be a sixty+ mile drive, on top of it.

I'm putting my slippered foot down.

Where is Brockton, anyway? Somewhere in the Great Barrington area? Probably not, huh?
scheisskopf:
You haven't seen this one yet? As much as I normally reject the gimmick of star-studded casts, you really should see this one.
scheisskopf:
Yeah, I was burnt on that same old Scorsecseceecece schtick a long time ago.

But the Departed deviates slightly.

Poo for real, though, on:

De Niro, Pacino, Keitel, etc. etc. etc.

None of these guys can play anything but themselves.

Sean Penn or Ian Mckellen on the other hand, though...

zode:
Let's hope it doesn't kill someone...
zode:
You tell mewhere ever we canmy sales people will be trying to place it starting Monday
scheisskopf:
Yes, particularly in Apt Pupil. Wow.
scheisskopf:
Is the "Rat" still in Boston?

We used to play there in the eighties.
scheisskopf:
The Stench.

We played often with Boston bands Seven League Boots, and Soulside, sometimes with Slapshot, and a couple others. Toured the US with VERBAL ASSAULT in '89, then took Green Day on their first tour, which was our last.

We had a contract with a subsidiary of Rough Trade records for about four records.

The stuff's kind of hard to find these days, and so is information, as we were WAY before the advent of the internet as well as CDs, but our 8 records are becoming quite collectible these days. I find this very funny.

khillerkitten:
