No no, five times is good. Anything over 3 is impressive enough.

Sweet dreams. For the first time in ages I have a Saturday off!
tatertot:
My mom has recovered very well since her trauma... love

SNL has provided a lot of laughs over the years; so many cast members!

Have a good saturday...I need to do some tidying up! kiss
severus:
I need to get more of my grandmothers information, but I do remember this place:
Brighton
surlymike:
I once had the chance to meet Harry Shearer. Very personable fellow!
holagatita:
oh, I forgot to tell you that I saw the Science of Sleep last night, I loved it!!
Gael Garcia Bernal is so freakin' cute, and the visuals and imagination in that film are awesome! I highly recommend!
Hey, what did you think of "The Heart is Deceitful Above All Things"? I wanted to see that in the theater, but the reviews scared me off it a bit.
toothpickmoe:
You see, in some people, mainly the people that I know, it's almost endearing. Almost. wink
alyk:
I think Josh and Smufs are meeting me here around 4 pm, and then head over to Pho Pasteur? Will that work?
alyk:
This is the best thing I've found on the internet. Ever. Major time suckage.

toothpickmoe:
I certainly hope so. tongue
melladoree:

kiss
anaxarete:

its raining here today
how do i contain all that boy energy in 500 sqare feet when its raining?
i think thats what tv is for, but it feels yukky
surlymike:
Good day, Shel! smile

Harry Shearer was in Seattle a few years ago in order to screen his film Teddy Bear's Picnic. After the movie, he was most gracious in meeting all of us who sought a minute or two with him. I wish that I'd had a camera to record the meeting, but, for what it's worth, I do still have a signed program.

And how's all with you today, sweetie darling?
surlymike:
hee hee hee---playdate. What a cute little term that is. Where will you be eating? Whom will you be seeing? With which members will be spending time? And, yes, I'm being especially nosy this morning...wink

My parents are on the West Coast now and we spent much of Saturday heading to, at, and returning from Mt. St. Helens. The mountain didn't erupt, the weather was cooperative and it's always a pleasure to spend time with people who know me awfully well and yet still love me. I took them to the airport this morning as they're taking a side trip down to Yosemite National Park, but they will be back on Wednesday night. I could have gone back to sleep when I returned from the airport this morning, but I figured that writing e-mail and catching up on my SG & MySpace is a better use of my time. biggrin
surlymike:
They'll actually be returning back to Seattle on Wednesday night and will then be around through early next Saturday morning. Of course, I'm also going to see them when I visit Maine in November *and* New Jersey in December so I'm pretty sure that they'll soon tire of me. Anyone would after all that, you know. biggrin

So will we hear stories of mass gorging after tonight's voracious Vietnamese venture? wink

By the way, I entirely agree with you regarding Brick. The concept is solid, but the execution wasn't quite what it could be. I'm sure that you're eminently pleased that I concur with you on this subject. smile
surlymike:
Rest well, Shel---and, by the way, if I didn't need to catch up with a number of folks in Maine in early November, I would be plotting with D. to surprise the hell out of you. Just thought you'd like to know. blush kiss
holagatita:
The Science of Sleep would be better on the big screen I'm thinking because of all the great visuals, but Cambridge is a bit of a drive, plus, it's one of those movies that I really loved, but I can't tell if others will like.
I think I will add The Heart is Deceitful... to my queue. I never read the book so I won't be expecting a different ending, and I like bleak movies, plus the previews made me really want to see it.
Are you enjoying Greencine? What's their turnaround like?

I didn't make much money at my yard sale. I think that was the last one. I'm going to take boxes and boxes of books to Half Price Books to see if they'll buy any, and then the rest I will donate to the library, and I will donate all clothes and whatever else I can to some other organization.

I have a Sunday at home today, which makes me VERY happy, even though I have a lot of things to do around the house.
You're going to a show tonight, yes?

jorryn:
Ya it's really wild, some of the images really stuck with me.

And thanks, it was a pleasant surprise. I use to sort of find my identity in good grades, my dad demanded them and once i had a good one I wanted to have more or better, so I could, I dunno, feel better about myself, but now I don't really care, I just hope I pass.
alyk:
Yay! Can't wait to see you two.
surlymike:
Oh, it would have been the least exciting surprise you could have ever imagined: I would have just shown up when you didn't expect to see me. On the upside, I *might* have had a Jamba Juice smoothie with me. biggrin
rxdxt:
ha. I love that skit
presence:
thank you i had a lovely weekend hope yours was peachy as well. smile
sandman226:
Hey there girlie. How ya been? Not been on the inverted net much the last few weeks. Seems like things are quiet around the net.
wahn:
Yes, she has amazing talent, is beautiful as well, and is really young. So we don't have to worry ... she'll make it wink

Otherwise my neighbor is a really great photographer and he isn't that young anymore. I wish I could help him making more money with his art. I posted a couple of pictures shot with a pinhole camera already (e.g. the Namaste one) but he obviously got all the other stuff (Hasselblad etc.) as well. He wants to publish a book about Cuba where he went to a couple of years ago and he got beautiful pics of Hawaii and the surfers there (I guess about 20 years ago). Maybe I can help him setup a web page etc. ... or post more pictures.
