AWW man, Anna Lee is on my favs now, I really loved that set! Yeah, D and I would not make so great in bed, I like competition, but I also like when the man knows to let me take charge biggrin and vice versa blush

I leave Sunday night, flight at 9:30, arrive atlanta just after 11, home in Alpharetta close to 1, leave for court before 7....and then work...YIPPEE, I do have Tues off though, so that will be my crash day !

lassie:
OMG! I just watched Cache. It was infuckingcredible. One of the best films I've seen. Mr. thought so, too. Be sure to watch the interview with the director. I'm going to hunt down everything this man directed.
fancyd:
No, really I have been doing whatever I feel like the past few days, which has been nice, super relaxed, no rushing, I have a couple photo 'projects' I wanna keep working on, I also wanna go to the Whitney Museum, and go back to Ground Zero, since now the refelcting ppols are open, and ah shit and fuck, I was hoping to avoid all shopping at all costs, but I do need to go get some souvenirs and stuff, so I guess that, and hopefully Coney Island tomm. Also Who Killed the Electric Car is playing in the Village, I was thinking to go check it out, I am so happy go lucky, that's how I got to see so much cool stuff this week. You know I only looked at a subway map once this whole week, yet I knew exactly how to get almost everywhere. I did catch a cab the other day though, I didn't feel like walking 50 blocks......30 in one shot is about the limit.....oohhh, I went to the Zoo in the Park today, it was awesome !

Anyways, I am finally finished loading 5GB of photos on the comp so I am off to bed. I can look at them later, too tired.

Sleep well and I will talk to ya later, oh yeah, PM ur home ohone so I can save it in my phone.....we can chat in real life sometimes as well.

kiss kiss

Oooh. That sounds like it was a fun trip, indeed!

Tomorrow I'm going to Sacramento to see the SG Burlesque. I've been looking forward to it. Should be interesting, to say the least. I'll post afterwards about it. wink
toothpickmoe:
They make it a little too easy to do that sort of thing on those sites. Don't feel too dumb. I've nearly done it myself a few times. At least now you'll look a little closer at your next rental before clicking. wink
lassie:
That's OK. Quiz was over weeks ago. Just posting the answers now. SG people would only be guessing at the answers . . . or most.

Yeah, I really wish I had watched that movie again, too. I loved the concept of it. That the video-voyeur camara eye would pass from pure transparency on the "text" of the movie to "conscious" of itself as voyeur when it was rewound on the couple's TV. Brilliant concept for a movie. Eerie.

Then, after the adopted guy slashed his throat--those long still vouyeristic shots continued, but without the rewinding, without the transparency interrupted, lifted.

By that time, the audience is conscious of being at one with the vantage point of the voyeur, as it were. It is like the audience is now sending the tapes, and is guilty of sending the tapes. That's my thesis: the guilt is performatively TRANSFERRED to the audience. That's what the last lengthy, wide shot is about. You dig?

Yup. Very complex. I hope you watched the interview with the director. It helped me understand the centrality of confrontation with guilt, even if the cause of the guilt is almost arbitrarily taken on. Very interesting. Still mulling it over.

I love films--good ones.

Rock on biggrin Sounds like you had a good time. I need to get to NY someday...

I'm usually free all weekend as I have no life. I just have to get my rear in gear and do my homework early in the weekend...

I have October 2nd off because I am going to Massive Attack on the 1st and I don't want to have to go home early for some lame reason like I have to work or some shit. I may have school, but I can go to that then go right back to bed... I also have the 27th off of October because that's the day of Negative's major Halloween party. I'm not only going this year, but I may even dress up. Haha... you guys should totally go to that too... we had a nice little SG clique in the back and I was the bouncer haha.. biggrin
fancyd:
The new roomies are fucking hilarious, they are Polish, we drank beer for breakfast and smoked cigarettes. Gotta love beer for breakfast o a Saturday morning! Got ur digits. Thanks.

tatertot:
Yes, I'm in Iron Man mode again... I'm not happy with the phone company, because they're my internet provider - and the signal comes and goes for the last week...

Glad you had a good time with everyone - I'm having some darn good food myself at the new job! The Spaghetti Puttanesca is amazing... biggrin kiss
joshxxx:
I actually don't plan on going to school either that day, now that I think about it. I took it off to relax and recover, and darnit, that's what I'm gonna do
koala:
Oh! You gotta try Coppola's wine! It's great! So far, I've had his Merlot, Pinot Noir, Pinot Grigio and Claret (I think he makes a Cabernet as well). You can get them for a pretty good price at Trader Joe's...I always get a huge discount on them at Ralph's out here, but I don't think you guys have Ralph's on the East Coast, do you? smile
koala:
Woah, that is so weird about Trader Joes! I swear that the one in Brookline (where I'm from) carries at least wine and beer...I dunno about hard alcohol though...Hmmm...I wonder if MA has changed its liquor laws recently? confused
melladoree:
I know I am fucking tired and bitchy! I just told my boss I HATE DOING THE SCRIPTS! And that mostly because I get stuck with it because no one else wants to help me and it fucking SUCKS! Yeah that is how I feel about working on weekends!

lets do it!

broke ass bitches unanoymous!
onie:

darke:
What is this "weekend" you speak of...? I've had two consecutive days off work once in the last eight weeks, and they were a Wed and Thur.

Put in a request for the 5,6 and 7th of Oct. tho... I'm getting pissed after the SGB. wink
irishinch:

semjaza:
Hey...how's it going? ARRR!!!
toothpickmoe:
I often have to stop myself form going straight to the special features on a DVD. It's like I want to ruin the movie for myself. confused

The missus is off tomorrow, that lucky duck.
toothpickmoe:
I'm glad you can laugh with, or at, them. I just want to smack them around a little. blush

He was a bit of douche. But part the problem with those people is they don't listen.
toothpickmoe:
Yes they do. I used to fight them on that. Now I just ignore them. Much more effective.
wahn:

I'll answer that a bit later ... at the moment I'm watching Hero ... have you seen it?
jorryn:
Thanks honey.

I am so exhausted from school right now, managed to skim your long blog tho, sounds like you have been on quite the adventure lately!
ta2dmom:
Sounds like you had a wonderful time. Thanks for wishing a random stranger a happy birthday. I appreciate it. xoxo
surlymike:
1) Independent America

The subject of this documentary had great potential, but, over the course of an 82-minute film, they were too often going from place to place and not explaining the stories they encountered on their trip. Both C. and I agreed that the wife of the couple is attractive, but we wish that they'd brought their dog Miles with them, too. smile

2) Laura

An enjoyable noir, to be sure, but I've just never really thought too much about Dana Andrews. His work never inspired me much. Gene Tierney looked great in the movie, though, and it was good to see a young Vincent Price.

3) If...

MM was in attendance and seemed to think of the film as a masterpiece. I wouldn't go so far as to say that, but it scored a high rating on my "rating" sheet.

How's your weekend been, Shel? smile
