I had a roommate that collected rent from me but never gave it to the landlord. I was already looking to move out by the time I found out about that. She was a real peach. I moved out in a little under three months, in the middle of a blizzard in February. That's how desperate I was to get out.
Hope that you slept well! The movie was very mediocre. Imagine taking the subject of an uncertain death of a well-known actor and turning it into a somewhat boring and unfocused film. Oh, well, the film was free and dinner (splitting a calzone and a tempeh reuben with C.) was really good.
Tomorrow night and Saturday bring forth three Almodovar films!
Oh, yes, I went to see Kiss live many times over the years. Of course, I've been aware for quite some time at how ridiculous, crass, and commercial they are, but I still can appreciate them to some extent.
I should post a real journal entry instead, but, well, you know useful a YouTube link can be.
You're 100% right about how company and food make the evening. The overwhelming averageness of the film mattered far less than seeing Charlene kick the seat in front of her when she promised the guy that she wouldn't. Ha ha!
I agree with you on all counts. I don't know if she really believes that I like it, but I do. She has a very strong voice as a writer. She also manages to tackle three different perspectives very well. I personally have had problems with all my characters sounding the same so I'm doubly impressed.
Why?
Do you say a swear word?
I was totally not aware of it!
And yeah, Sling Blade, that's the new "collector's edition" .
It has extra stuff we haven't watched!
