I have been feeling let down by my country of late. I no longer feel safe, almost anywhere. I honestly fear for Americas' future. There is so much hatred and nastiness; it is oozing from the very seams of the fabric of our society. Black people have never been truly safe in America, and now is 2017 with a so-called President openly egging on racist, NAZI's and White Supremacist, the stigma that used to exist as a barrier to sub-human behavior is gone!
And I am tired, so tired, of being angry all of time, of feeling betrayed by my (some of, too many) fellow countryman; tired of being on the edge of a fucking meltdown, never able to relax, find mental space enough to smile for while. We were not ment to live like this!

I hear ya. I've always looked up to the U.S., and in the past, even when issues were divisive, there was a sense that there were well-intentioned people on both sides of the political spectrum. Not anymore... I fear the Republican party has, with a few honorable exceptions, no qualms supporting a man whose conduct is a travesty of the high office he holds, and no qualms being in cahoots with people who want to upend the political and constitutional order. But as they say, this, too shall pass.
