Ahh what a difference good lighting makes.
The slides that I was so concerned about are actually ok. When I first looked at them I freaked a little because they were way too warm. (Orangish, reddish tinted) However a small trip to the photo store and the purchase of a small light box with good lighting has squashed those fears. The small handheld lighted slide viewer I had originally gives off the most gawd-awful orange/yellow light compared to the new desktop viewer I picked up yesterday. There's something to be said for "white light".
I go tonight to deliver the slides and the digitals to the client. :::crossing fingers::: The digitals came out pretty good and only required the slightest of color correction and a little crop here and there. I realised that shooting in her small sculpting studio was severely limiting on the creative tip so I am thinking about suggesting a second shoot outdoors to give a little more variety to her selections. This is all work for publication in FiberArts magazine. Color me anxious.
