I have to say, and I've worked in child care for several years, that the parents who enjoy their children, create amazing people. As lucky as you know you are to have her, she is just as lucky to have you. You two are wonderful!

negative things that other parents say is sometimes due to people wishing they had your relationship with your daughter in their relationships with their children.

I have no doubt that you're a fun mom, and a thinking mom. and whatever anyone else says is their opinion, no matter how much experience they've had.

you are way awesome. and you are way cute too!

I didn't mean to imply that you're too lax a disciplinarian. I meant to suggest that school's going to be a nasty shock on your daughter because, by your behavior, you're encouraging her to think she's a person. My mother did something similar with my brother and me, and school was hell for us. We were accustomed to being listened to and to having our opinions considered, but at school "sit down, shut up, and do as you're told" was the order of the day.

Our educational system, which was based on the Prussian model, seems intent on conditioning our children's response to authority and on creating good conformists, not on helping our children achieve full actualization.

Oh man.....havent been to 'Target' in ages. Stores like that are what i miss about the states. Screaming kids all around.

I have a house with a white picket fence. stuff breaks alot. because it's 100 years old. it's really cold in winter too. but I still love it.
