that's great you'd do that to get your mother to quit smoking. it's unfortunate, but that's part of loving someone -- making compromises. i wish there was something you could do, but i guess there really isn't other than declaring independance and taking your chances with that.
veeyenenwhy:
Thank you!

My parents are the same way with tattoos. They say it makes me look like I've been to prison. But I'm the rebellious type and already have my next two planned.

I'm very lucky my workplace is okay with having tattoos and peircings for the most part. I think it's also partially due to the fact that about a good 30% of the employees are gay too so that just goes to show how open-minded the company is.

Well, good luck on your next tattoo adventure and on becoming an SG! I saw some of your pictures and you are definitely gorgeous enough! wink

we'll be touring across the u.s. this fall our manager wants to get us overseas next year smile
ignisfatuus:
if you want to confront your parents about your desires, i'd wait for a while until your mother's kicked the cigs. don't want to push her while she's still on the edge.
nuggets:
I'm sorry that your mom isn't understanding of your desire for piercing, but I guess it's fairly typical. My dad never had a problem with it, but some of my more "uptight" friends on the east coast do. It might be good to wait to get the job you want and then go ahead with them. That's what I did and luckily for the last 10 yrs I've had jobs where it's accepted. Before that...oh, no way. It makes it fun now too, because I have a tat and some piercing that are "private".

Your second profile pic is the cutest thing ever!

I guess your parents will have to accept your look. Good luck, sweet kiss

Hey hey!! Sterkte in elk geval jij.

*vreugde dansje*
rabbiofrock:
biggrin honestly, i laughed out loud when i saw it. I mean, what a bad choice of words. what about "drive-off's" or something like that? but "PULL OUTS"?? its the things like that which make me happy sometimes, you know?
kiss

I have to aggree on Abe with this one... smile

My first tattoo was on my lower arm. The moment I layed eyes on it (it was in an old blackbook from a friend/tattoo artist) I knew where I wanted it... But still for job interviews it's a place you can cover so no worries.

Also, parents seem to think a tattoo is the beginning of a full body suit. But if you have a design that's not that aggressive, not to big, and not on hands, neck or face it doesn't effect your "chances in life". Cause the're only doing it to protect you kiss

I know from experience that parents will come round when they see it... Although, if your living of their money, it's a sign of respect to wait a little while. And a tattoo under the knickers is a good sollution in the meantime! biggrin
