Last night I went to bed super early, all excited at being able to sleep. There was a giant spotlight in the driveway shining into my room, but I left it on because the bitch I live with was out for dinner and I thought she might need it to find her keys when she came home.

She came home at nine and left the light on until midnight, at which time I got up and discovered she'd been sitting on the sofa for three hours. Then we had shouting. Then I couldn't sleep.
