I had to laugh when I read your blog, because I used to have an English boyfriend who freakin' HATED Man United! His team was Arsenal, but his dad was from Manchester and they used to argue about "football."
Apparently it isn't very feminine to drink pints. I guess women are supposed to have half pints or wine/cocktails. I had a pint of Boddingtons ("The Cream of Manchester") and my ex's dad was like, "Bloody hell, you should marry this girl!" Needless to say, that didn't happen, but I love that story.
