Buy organic. Demand it. Eat at organic restaurants. That's what I do for now. And educate your friends. Monsanto needs a massive class action suit or 2 thrown at it and then to be charged for treasonous undermining of the food supply economy. Plus they need a jolly good head chopping off.

Have you read Fast Food Nation? Avi Lewis (who produced "The Take" along with Naomi Klein) used to have this fantastic show called Counter-Spin where he would take hot topics and mediate debates between 2 opposing sides of a political issue.
One of my favourite shows was when he brought in Eric Schlosser (Author of Fast Food Nation) and squared him off with the president of the Fast Food Restaurants Association of America.
Needless to say, the FFRA guy got eaten alive. His arguments just devolved into repeating "people have the freedom to choose whatever they want to eat" ad nauseum.
Ok So they make round up. a weed killer use it in my yard a time or 2. Next Question what corporation does not push the laws that is how they got rich! So One could say all corporations in them selves are evil, my opinion some just have not been caught yet. i have yet to be convinced that genetic engineering is bad, what the hell do you think selective pollenation to improve a plant or get a different colored flower or a more hardy or diseased resistant plant or to produce more but genetic manipulation but in a different form using selective breeding! So maybe my point is perhaps more reaserch into this issue is needed than the emotional statements made not necessarily based on fact. This is becoming a major issue... just think how much is really harming us in the basic stuff we buy, which in reality, the market is bringing into the stores and the advertisers are pushing down the consumers mouth... Just an echo here... buy local, buy organic if you can... and damn all the poor people who have to work for companies like Monsanto and go to work every day and ignore these issues. It scares me people can.
Scares me more what gets shipped into my local grocery because they can.
