Where Have All The Good Times Gone?
Holy crap! The last quarter of 2013 was hectic. A lot of personal things that needed to get done got in the way of the music, then a bit of writer's block reared it's ugly head. But, the personal shit is taken care of, and the writer's block has cleared up, it's back to the music!
Afflicted By Design
There are 3 new tracks by my Afflicted By Design project coming soon. 3 songs for the next Ep are in various states of completion, and demos for all 3 are almost done and ready for pre-production. Production will happen again with me recording and producing the guitars, bass and synths in my home studio and the vocals, guitar re-amping and solos at Mesa Recording Studios, with Rob Hinton engineering. I also have some guest musicians lined up that I'm really excited about. A few people that played on the first Ep, plus a couple surprises. This weekend, I'll be recording bass and guitars, and programming drums, for a song called "I Am." I still want to make a video for "Dreaming Mona," but since that is the most popular ABD track, I really want it to be killer. So, that's on the back burner for a bit. There also might be a new version in the future. It sounds killer now that I've done the song with a live piano player and after 2 months of voice lessons. We'll see...
Atomic Brother
In the last blog I mentioned that something would be happening with Atomic Brother. I'll start reviewing tracks and mixing in January. I think there will be 10 tracks, 6 full productions with 4 or 5 live acoustic tracks. Since I'm working on Afflicted By Design as the primary project, the Atomic Brother record will be slow going. But, I'll be posting samples as I make progress.
