i offer my condolences, but it seems like a situation where you're kinda stuck unless you move. have you tried talking to the guy about some of the insensitive comments he has made, you both have the common ground of caring about your roomate, right? maybe things can be patched up a bit

i used to be in a similar situation with my best friend's ex boyfriend. after awhile i always used to excuse myself when he came over... there came a point where she would stop bringing him around so often, or would do it when i wasn't around.

Wow, he sounds like such an asshole. Hmm, that's tricky situation. Just be open with your suitmate and tell her that you really don't like being around her boyfriend and take it from there i guess.
