Ooookay now. This is the part where I talk about my crazy dreams. I always have crazy dreams.. but usually, they're more random strange than just straight-up strange. Last night's was just... really fucking weird, ya'll. Forgive my typos and improper grammar and conventions... I'm just going to stream-of-consciousness this as quickly as I can.. I still have work to do, so I can't do it all novel style. I just have to get it out while it's still vivid in my slow, stoner mind.

...So there were lots of random things going on. Everything looked fairly normal like.. in terms of objects being objects and people looking like people.. just a standard, random sequence of events type dream. At one point, a friend and I were at some supposedly-famous DJ's show (in a movie theater??), and for whatever reason, I left to go get a milkshake. Yeah. So instead of going back to the show, I went to work for whatever reason.

When I get there, I'm sipping on my milkshake in peace, and the guy who is our engineer shows up and asks me if there is any schedule conflict on a certain day. (Which totally wouldn't happen, because he's the engineer and what news we cover doesn't really pertain to him. But anyway.) Because there is a certain execution that needs to be covered. I check. I rearrange the schedule so that it can be accommodated. And all of a sudden, it's time for that execution. This is where it gets very strange...

There is a huge barge-like "structure" floating on a sea (my perspective was from an angle underwater, so everything was blue/green except for the gray of the vessel. It had these spaces for large, square chambers. Like cells. The man to be executed was being held in one, but it had to be switched - physically switched, not just moving him into another spot - for the actual deed. The catch is that the man has been dead for quite some time, but they have to hang him anyway because he was convicted and the public deserves to see justice being served. So, they prepare to drop the chamber, and I ask the random person next to me, "won't his body break when they drop it?" He tells me that they've wrapped him up tightly.. like you would something to be shipped... and then the chamber drops, is moved to the right, and hoisted back up. When they unwrap him, they discover that one of his fingers and his penis have broken off in the process, but they don't really care. Get his wife and daughter in here so we can proceed with this. The authorities stuff the broken finger and peen into his death mask, throw it over his face, and put the rope around his neck. The bottom drops out, and his already lifeless body drop into the water. It passes in front of me and slips out of the noose.. gone forever. The mask and disconnected digit and bit float back to the top.

The view here changes. It's suddenly cartoon-esque. My perspective makes a very slow ascent out of the water, and when it finally surfaces, I'm looking over a grassy lawn in front of a huge, white plantation home. The first thing I see is the dead man's little girl. She has large headphones on and is sitting in front of a large, round, grey bird. It's almost like the bird is protecting her from something, but she doesn't really care. She looks happy, and is rocking back and forth, playing with the cord connected to her headphones. I have no idea what the headphones were plugged into. ... Her mother is standing in front of a cast iron railing, drunk off a martini. A man comes up to her and starts asking how she feels. He wants to take her home. She says she's fine.. he's been dead to her for a long time anyway, she just worries about her daughter. Look back at the daughter.. she's still rocking with the bird.. the man says that she seems like she will be fine. Mother agrees. They leave together.

The dream is over.

I wake up 20 minutes late for a meeting. As usual. I'm late for everything.. all the time.

That was crazy and neat.

the total ascent of a perspective is kuel and smacks of dream focus. do you do lucid?

being on time all the time is overrated. especially when your body is insinuating subconcious control anyway.
