Glad you're having a good time. Phnom Phen was/is my least fave city in the whole region. HCMC/Saigon I loved but that was probably in no small measure due to my buddy Bart living there with his babe, Hahn. If you want to meet up with him, drop me an email and I'll give you his. He's a v cool guy and if he can find any time to show you guys around, he will. Also, i don't know what plans you've made to stay in Vietnam but if you're in Saigon at all, Madam Cuc's 64 hostel on Bui Vien (Pham Ngu Lao - backpackerville) is good - the girls there who run it (An is the manager) are really nice and crazy fun! (There's nothing dodgy there.) Just around the corner, down a narrow ally, are a whole load of restaurants and Little Saigon is by far the best and not well known. Go crazy on the ordering - you can eat like royalty for almost less than a beer costs in Cambodge!
ive always wanted to go the region, but money problems being that they are, its kind of implausible at this point in time. sounds like youre having a lovely time, though.
Ive just applied to learn chinese at uni, but as Im a good student Im gonna be accepted to the law faculty, that Ive had on the first place, so I guess I will learn chinese in a language school... anyway Ive only been to China once, we lived there for a year and I havent learned a word, actually that time it was quite enough to learn hungarian properly...
