i have had a similar situation to yours...and i'm preparing to have it again. in a few months, i'll be on my way to england to go to oxford, and i'll be leaving the one boy who i have truely loved...i don't know how i'm going to take it (or him either). and i have never been much for attachment, but i would be lying if i said i wasn't worried or scared or whatever you want to call it.
