Probably after 10 years and changes over that time to the site format I'm finally gonna be leaving the site due to this change in setup. While the past big and tiny changes over time have just been a matter of tweaking and adjusting to a new but functional style the more I try to get used to this version the more I get frustrated being here.
Yes, it's a good setup for portable devices... on my iPad it looks nice. But I use SG very much more on my regular computer and I've come more and more to dread signing on here. I've tried to learn to like it like I have other times and it just hasn't gotten better for me... it keeps getting worse as I deal with it. More and more frustrated with it.
If anyone I'm friends with here wants to keep in touch via FB or Fetlife or Twitter or whatever send me a note here or just find me there and let me know that I know you from here and all that... I'm RumpusParable everywhere.
There may be major changes by the staff to a regular vs mobile version or some other future change that makes me stay or come back later, but I'm thinking as things are now I'm finally closing the door on my SG time.
Edited: I went to cancel and apparently I pay yearly... It says my subscription will run out in October 2014. I'm going to put the cancellation into effect but apparently my account will stick around for another year... I guess that'll be the period where I see what happens. I'll rarely be on here, though, due to the things said above about this new layout.... I'll just pop on here and there to see what's the status of things I think.
