i like your new profile pic? do you knit? i'm a big crocheter these days.
my new job is *okay* but not as good as i'd hoped it would be. too much politics and not enough teaching.
Last year we stayed at the the Flamingo budget suites along the Boulder highway. I don't know of any kind of shuttle as we had a rental car but it was pretty much a straight shot to the strip from there because you took flamingo all the way up to Vegas boulevard. This year we are trying to get booked at a location closer to VLV. That location isn't bad though since it's close to a Walgreens, and IHOP, and it's a few blocks away from a grocery store.
He's tall dark and handsome. Sort of a cross between Marlon Brando in, "On the Waterfront" and Elvis during his 67 comback special. has tattoos. preferably those Sailor Jerry type Tats ( Over dark 30's betty boop style, but raunchier...) Probably a musician. Hangs out at the Railway. Knows the Hardrock miners by name. And has one too many girlfriends.
it really is the perfect portable hobby. I like the instant gratification too, I can work something up in a night, wear it immediatly, and if I don't like it I can pull the stitches out right away and re-do it, no sewing machine or seam ripper needed!
Found that 5% of courage lacking and I spoke to a woman who I've I wanted to for a while. ( part of that new years resolution.) But, it seems like she's in the middle of a relationship drama.
And with that perfect segway ....I told another woman who's in the show I had a Spot crush on her, and weirded her out. Actresses!?!...go figure. You think they'd be used to guys looking at them, and finding them attractive. I wasn't hitting on her I was just pointing out she looked really wonderful as a brunette. All I hoped for was she'd be flattered and gracious. ( And some women wonder why men are so reluctant to act romantic most times...)
Soon Beauty will end and I'll be realatively unemployed. And unfortunatly I'm far too busy thease days with dispatching other people to work to really write at all. Bought the 2nd season of Farscape on DVD. But, the car purchase will have to wait til Feb.
On Saturday I attended a party where I was the guest of honor. The party was given by a Turkey in a Bag Advocate because I vehemently questioned that style. We all know the challenges that are presented with large poultry such as a Turkey is cooking the white (165) and dark (180) meat to their apporpiate and different temperatures while getting a nice crisp skin. No way could the skin get to the state it should be but the meat was moist. The Turkey wasnt presented so the skin wasnt viewed. I tried to be gracious to them and only posted it my journal to be facetious although it wasnt as bad as I might have imagined
-work out more often each week NAH !
-pay cash not credit CHECK
-create more often CHECK
-decrease my need for perfection CHECK
Good luck! and
