Re: Kill Bill Vol.1 and Vol.2-- I hated Vol. 1, liked Vol. 2. But maybe that was just because I got paid to watch it. I think the merits of those films lay more in the production design/cinematography/soundtrack departments rather than in the writing or even directing arenas...
They've been releasing Donnie Darko with a "director's cut" in the theatres (extra half-hour footage?) That footage is not on the DVD, so it would be interesting to see your reaction after you saw this one first.
