Can we talk?
You know what's amazing about the Republican Natonal Convention coming town? How tense this city has become for no reason. Both from the side of the protestors and the side of the cops.
Won't get into details, but I am just too old--and frankly wiser--to swallow a fraction of the anarchist crap that is being spread out there by protestors. It's as if they're more into starting fights than actually working for real change.
The cops are the cops, but you know what? I heard more than a few cops saying "I support you guys, just don't go nuts..." Some of them are looking for a fight themselves, but taken as a whole much more aggression is coming from the extreme sides of the protestors.
What's sad is that I can see all the unneeded violence simply tainting anti-Bush people as being loons. Ugggh. I swear I cannot stand these dumb ass punks who are acting against the trees but can't see the larger forest.
Let's get Bush out of office. But it's not going to happen with anarchy you idiots!
In good news, I will be getting dinner with friends soon. And once the Republicans leave town I'm going to see the Ramones documentary! Hey! Ho! Let's GO!

Someone on the boards somewhere said that "anyone over the age of 20 who considers himself an anarchist is in an idiot." I couldn't agree more. I really, really, really hate those people for stigmatizing the protest movement and putting a negative, violent face on dissent. I can't wait for them to leave NYC either.
