I feel like I'm drowning.

My great-grandmother passed away this morning. She was the most amazing, independent, full of life woman I've ever known. She turned 88 a couple of weeks ago, on the 12th. She became sick only a couple of months ago, until then she was living on her own in her own house (that her husband built about a million years ago), taking care of herself completely. How awesome is that? But then esophageal and stomach cancer took her away. I'll miss her, I'm glad I got to visit her over spring break.

An expert from her journal that my mom found (this is when I was visiting 2.5 years ago): "Well Roxy is here visiting. Her hair is blue. She has rings in her lips, rings in her nose, and rings in her eyebrow. She has a tattoo from shoulder to elbow. She just looks terrible!"

If you knew her, that would totally make you laugh. And cry.

I feel like I'm drowning for about a million other reasons as well. But I will not tarnish my tribute to her death with my petty problems in life.
