So ya liked what I had to say about Spidey, huh? Groovy.

Did you take The Boy to see it?
leola76:
I love the Flower Grenade. All of your shirts are very cool.

I think it's great that you're changing mediums to work with George, not because I dislike print making but because painting just plain rocks! It's not often that a good mentor comes along the way. The fact that George has chosen yourself and Chelsea to help curate an art show must mean he's just as enthusiastic about working with you as you are with him!

I'm looking foward to seeing your new work! kiss kiss kiss

WOW! Somebody who appreciates comic books like I do! You responded to my post, and you are spot on. When I was in junior high, I discovered X-Men, and for all the action and high tech stuff, what I really remember the best (and got choked up over) was when Jubilee would cry because she wasn't accepted, and when Xavier mind blasted Magneto screaming "You will NEVER hurt anyone AGAIN!" Spiderman is the same way. The book always reminds you of self-sacrifice, even when you are the one who no one looks at or appreciates. I had no hopes for the X-Men film until that opening scene in the concentration camp. When I saw that it was truly going to be about bigotry and racism, I didn't give a shit what the costumes looked like, or what major villian they may be fighting in the next film. I LOVE good action flicks, but my fear is that the pathos of these films will be lost with the more films that are made. That would be a shame.
