There are so many things I miss about back when this site first started. Having @missy so close, honestly she was the best neighbor ever. @anais @voltaire and so many of the original SGs within a few blocks of each other. It's really surreal how much of our regular lives we took for granted. Especially given the current state of things. I would give anything to return to everyone the opportunity to experience how great those times were.
I really miss sunny "back in the day" Portland and all the unique personalities that were able to co-exist within the same city limits. What a privilege it was to exist during those times. Despite my hardships I really see how rich I was then, now.
I hear a lot about how "brave" the SGs were -- taking risks that nobody else would take. However, I also see what extremities current day femmes have to endure in order to even have a place at the table. So I want to be clear that I applaud you. Each and every one of you. Hopeful, pink, or just being your true self regardless of what your goals are. I feel repaid for the risks times ten thousand every time I see any of you out there.
All of our experiences unique yet we somehow manage to all be here together. That is something I will never take for granted again. <3
