I'm goign through the job thing myself right now; deepest sympathies. Hopefully a better job will pan out soon.
Exams on Saturday should be unconstitutional.
And commisserations on the job thing - don't worry, I'm sure you'll find summat sooner or later. Just don't do what I did last time I was looking for work and sign up to a company advertising "Junior Marketing Executives Wanted - Prospect of 27k+ per year". Should have known summat was up when I turned up for my first day only to get bundled in a mini-van, shipped off to some village in the middle of nowhere and told to do door-to-door sales for the local pub! It was so bad I did a runner and had to rely on the crappiest rural bus service you can imagine to get myself back to York and on the train home. Never again...
Anyways, hope the exams went well and keep surfin' that fennel high!!
awwww, what a bunch of losers that didn't hire you. tests on Saturday? man i thought working on Saturday was bad. Well, they put me in charge of decorating the restaurant for Halloween, luckily my sensibility kicked in while picking them out, I passed on all the severed limbs and big scary skulls. I did hang this huge bat though, it's like 7 feet wide.
straight fennel seeds? yuck! I'm not a big fan of fennel.
I don't think I ever had the fun of a Saturday test... although there aren't really any good days for a final in a class without many graded assignments...
Keep trying, you never know what is going to come through. Hell, I signed a contract today for what's shaping up to be a great start-up (hell, the whole deal reeks of circa 2001 dot-com-ness, complete with flex-time.)
Also, don't munch and code. I gained 30 pounds over 8 months that way. I only drink water when I code (Coffee before 9-10am, if espresso is available) and I keep an healthier weight now. It's something anyone aspiring to a programming job should keep in mind ;-).
aww i'm sorry you didn't get the job. but that probably means that something better is waiting to show itself to you.
i really liked kill bill. it was a good picture through and through. 4 people walked out of the movie though! i think it was due to violence and blood. heh. sofie was really hot though. meow.
i've visited the makeup forever counter at the bay before but there's never anyone to help me when i go so i get frustrated and leave. i always joke about running out with the sample tray thing. there's no one there to stop me after all! i tend to just stick with mac though. i was good today and only bought one eyesadow. it's called sprout. it's a nice green. i really need another red, a sort of shimmery one i think. ah i love eyeshadow.
Jobhunting is so much fun....The rejection letters are so nice you want to frame them! The Pizza dough we make at work has fennel seeds in it - it adds a nice flavor.....A nice big pot works for tomato sauce - Red wine also works wonders.... (the bay has a wicked selection, always on sale) Good luck for you this week!
I never have to do another exam as long as I live! Bwahahaha! Well, not unless I want to better myself in some way. Which is probably actually a good option.
Still, my finals are fresh enough in my mind to make me feel deep sympathy for your impending examdom. Good luck and all.
If those fennel seeds work anything like flax seeds, the limit ain't all you'll be passing. Hope you did well on your exams! I have two exams that were take-home, and I should really be looking over before handing in tomorrow.. Nothing like a little procrastination..
sorry about the job. you're so right though...it's obviously entirely their loss.
