I remember many of those bands.

I actually heard Sleeper on the radio today. I must have seen them 3 or 4 times in the mid-90s and thought they were pretty cool, but looking back they sucked. Their real only claim to fame was that for a brief time the term "Sleeper Bloke" crept into English language to describe the non-descript dudes who hang around the back of the stage whilst the lead singer claims all the spotlight.

On the question, one of the old presenters from North West News on ITV now works behind the counter in Marks & Spencers below my work, but that's the best I can do.

Martin from Gene works at a music college in Brighton and is a bit of a cock. I have all sorts of Martin Rossiter gossip that I'm not allowed to tell frown
ikaruga:
while I can't think of anyone off-hand, you have reminded me of a cultural difference...

it seems that in france, once your famous, that's it. you're famous. you can still be a washed-up has-been, but you're still famous. surreal

not listened it for absolute ages, but I really did like their debut album.
rdpixie:
Alas I don't know anyone who used to be famous but I always think it must be so hard going bck ti regular life...
splash27:
one of the tech's from work used to be in a drummer for some known band a while back, i'd be damned if i can remember all the details tho...he bores me.
