To give a dog a pill, do this: Open her mouth and stick the pill as far back in her throat as possible. Immediately hold her muzzle, keeping her mouth shut until you visibly see her swallow. I know it sounds cruel, but she needs her meds. Give her a treat afterwards.

W/the doggie thing, I do exactly as Tabby says w/ one extra move-as you hold her mouth shut w/ one hand, stroke her throat w/the other. this encourages the swallow. Just ask the hubby... (but seriously, it will work w/the pup)

Oh hunney, t'aint that bad. I'll be at school. I can't tell if it's really bad allergies or a cold. But either way I'm loading myself up with medication...can't afford to miss school..plus I feel better than I did. I'll be up there this week...DO book an appointment, it'll be good to see you!

Also, you can bury the dog's pill is some yummy human food the dog likes to eat, like cheese or bread. We've learned our dogs will eat them that way. Good luck.

sorry i didnt get to talk to you this weekend - but i was busy and then started to get sick yesterday afternoon. i actually spent all morning today in the er, due to a mad bad asthma attack. yucks.
