Hello beautiful people.
When I was a wee lad, I absolutely loved a bit of anime. At the risk of showing my age, these were my favourites.
Robotech (Macross in Japan)
A massive alien ship crash lands on Earth and Earth's defence forces use the alien technology to create advanced transforming mecha.
And I love me some transforming mecha.
Years later, the aliens known as Zentraedi arrive to see what became of their missing ship.
Great stuff.
At the same time was Astroboy. A scientist creates a robot child able to fly and shoot lasers from his fingers.
He also had machine guns that fired from his butt. It was the 80s and it was Japanese.
Once every episode (at least it seemed like it) Astroboy would exclaim "My energy's running out!" and he'd fall from the sky.
I remember wondering why he didn't just get a bigger battery.
Finally Voltron. Specifically the version with the five robot lions that merged to become a super robot.
