Seriously?
Our Prime Minister is Stephen Harper?
Of the conservative party?
The Canada I love is not a conservative country.

42% of Canadians didn't even bother to vote, and they deserve a good strong kick in the ass.

We are lucky enough to live in a country where we have a democratic system, and we are given the right to vote and to choose responsible government. Lots of people in lots of countries do not have this luxury, and here we take it for granted.
Now we have to put up with 4 years of Harper. Fantastic.

I agree with you its bullshit that so many people didn't vote. I think that there were a lot of people who just didn't care about this election. I think that most people believe that we will be voting again within two years, I also don't think that most people had any of the leaders grabbed people and gave them a reason to vote for them. I don't think these legitimate reasons not to vote but I think this may be what happened.

I know how you feel. It was the same way for me the FIRST time bush was elected. I litterally walked around smacking my forehead for about 3 weeks, in hopes that it would wake me from a horrible dream or something. Then it got worse when they RE-ELECTED HIM. After all the shit he put us through in the first term. I blame our recession on him.

At this point, anything would be an improvement.
