To respond, seriatim:

Yes
Also yes - sometimes you need a microscope to spot it, but progress does exist

I too miss those times. I have a top secret master plan to recapture them.

The shitty diner variety roast is only ok if served in the appropriately shitty diner, and those joints are getting harder to find (though I will say, North Carolina has lots of appropriately atmospheric shitholes, so I'm still ok down here).

When you get to be my age any potential clock stopper is worthwhile. You'd be surprised how fantastically you can prolong your life by just adding a few new wrinkles to your day (no pun intended) - grab a pot, fill it with water, place it on the stove and wait for it to boil. Stare at a clock until the second hand starts to run counter-clockwise. I will add the coffee idea to the list, even if I don't drink coffee. Whatever works.

Sea salt is good. Kosher salt is good. The best salt, however, is on a fresh soft pretzel (yes, I too once lived in Pennsylvania)

Now YOU sound like you're in North Carolina.

We'd all love that - not for you to die, to shoot the new set (to clarify).

Sexy and strange sounds great. A short road trip that you'd like to also be sexy probably excludes New Jersey, though. If you want it to be close and really strange, bring a 1st cousin to West Virginia.

For someone without a lot to say you sure posted a long blog. My fingers are starting to hurt and I'm developing carpal tunnel syndrome responding.

Nicely said. Play "Last Night" by Lynn Miles if you can find it. No, it's not the Strokes' song (Nite)....

Read away, that's what I'd do. See my list of favorite books in my profile if you'd like some recommendations. Modern stuff you might like.

I too am grateful for the SG universe. If you go to my page you'll see my various entries regarding an amazing, beautiful, bright, sensitive and sensual woman I met right here, on these very pages. We all do have a nice thing going here. It's nice to know you too, as a matter of fact.

More well-spoken words. Sometimes you will find the gold beneath the ground, like I did when I met my woman here. It's a matter of luck more than skill in this world but it sure does make for some good moments when it happens. Maybe it is worth the bother. Sometimes.

Yeah, exactly, the ripples.

I was well confused before I ever got here, but I did enjoy the conversation (which I suppose this became). Sweet dreams to you, as well.

I have recently started back on the wild night excursions! I didn't think they would be the same as they used to be, but they are biggrin

Your blog is great! Great pics biggrin

chazstrummer:
I like salty girls. wink
fatkidlovescake:
i want to know why every greasy spoon diner has like the exact same tasting coffee. dunkin donuts can't handle doing that but a million independent little mom and pop places seem to be all on the same page. crazyness.
mildots:
you write the best blogs. Mysterious is good and so is turkey of the wild kind wink

Rexxy baby come play

I wish you went to my school. I wish that you wrote and would submit to my school's lit mag. I think I would've given up on society if I hadn't read this post. I've been having thoughts like that a lot lately. humanity isn't really showing it's worth these days...at least not in my town.

glad all's well with you though.
stay gold. <3
x0!

The start of winter means something else - St. Nikolaus Bock from Penn Brewery. smile

Glad you are well and that you're still around.

xo!

seasonality embodies progress in a unique way, if you consider progress not as a linear concept, a concept that involves the circuitous path where one follows the next, that first frost that is so transient until the suns rays catch it and if you are lucky you see it become a drop that renourishes the plant upon which it sat as a burden, progress.

I haven't spent too much time around here - just random, quick moments here and there. Life is crazy right now. So much has happened and changed and will continue to change I suppose. Every time I run into anything Pittsburgh-related be it the Steelers, the Penguins, or the mere mention of the city. i wonder how you're doing. Your blog and thoughts were a breath of fresh air. Hope life on your side of the world is just what you want it to be.
ginary:
Thank you hotness ! love

Your blogs are always a great read!
I like diners a lot. For the food, the coffee, the nostalgia, the people, and something less defined.
Here' hoping a a new set is on the way!
And Best Wishes for an excellent December, Beautiful!

P.S. Reading recommendation: The End of Everything by Meagan Abbott! She rocks!
pesky:
that would be fantastic. I hope to hear from you before your next visit then!

meanwhile, I agree that drinking doesn't define who I am. It never will. I just needed to wrap my head around the idea that sometimes I drink because I let others have too much of an effect on my life and thats when it becomes a bad thing. I always can relate a bad drinking experience to something that happened with a guy. So I just want to be done with that aspect of my personality. ><

as for school, I go to Drexel and I study English. I don't want to be a teacher/prof (in case you were curious/people always assume thats what I will do). I just want to write. I want to have my own magazine one day so we'll see. I too fear the unknown and the struggle that comes with wanting to be published but I know that I'm also my biggest roadblock and yet my biggest supporter.

haha, the only thing that sucks about boob growth is that I have to buy new bras. ><

You're so sweet, thanks lovely! I'm so glad you know the places that you can go and escape sometimes. It's important when we live in a city to be able to breathe good air every now and then (:

You are so beautiful. I love how your hair is in those last few photos. I hope I can photograph you again one day!

LMAO, Ok, something that isn't related to "Young Frankenstein".

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

Yep, SG may be a very cool place at times.

Random babble from me-

The comfortable life I live in the United States sometimes allows me to reflect too much. I've certainly been guilty of needlessly complicating things because of that as well.

I do my best not to mull over the past too much or to fixate too much on a distant undoubtedly fluid future. If I'm always looking over my shoulder or up in the clouds I may very well miss what is right before me. That could be a possible circumstance of joy or potential tragedy.

For me, the goal is to taste the present as completely and as untainted as I may each day. Each moment and each day deserve their own space. Each day should stand on its own and I should drink them in one at a time.

I do try to take them one at a time and sometimes they gang up on my ass biggrin

I do my best to stay in line with my inner voice and compass because people may come and go however my decisions remain with me. Going against my deepest convictions and nature would be a sure pathway down into a hell of regret.

Just being me has been costly at times and ultimately worth it.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts, you're definitely an intriguing person.

Please pardon any fuck ups in these comments because I'm the world's worst proofreader bar none.

P.S. I like salt too and you should do another set smile
