The weekend is off to a good start. Went out with friends Friday night. We hit some of my favorite bars and had a great time. Yesterday was the start of the college football season. We went to the Missouri game. We had fun tailgaiting right outside the stadium. I did go into the game for a while, but it was extremely hot so didn't stay in the stadium for the whole game. I got a pretty good sunburn too. I met back up with our group and tailgaited the rest of the afternoon.

I don't really have plans for the day today. Right now sitting and watching the Sunday morning political news programs (Meet the Press, Face the Nation, etc.). I'm such a nerd, but this is my favorite thing to do on Sunday mornings. Maybe I'll go see a movie this afternoon. I do have plans for this evening though. Meeting up with friends to play cards. That is usually fun, even if I don't win.

I did get some exciting news last week. Work is sending me to a conference in Miami in October. The dates are right after my trip to Vegas, so I'll have 4 days in Vegas, then fly straight out to Miami for 4 days. I can't wait!
