Now our doggie died. We knew it was coming, she had cancer and we'd had a couple of operations on it but they couldn't get it stopped. It was agonizing trying to decide when to have her put to sleep versus keeping her with us as long as she was alert and comfortable, but she suddenly took a turn for the worse and died quickly after that. she was a long-nose pom, and not yappy at all, she was so smart too.

There's a stray dog been coming around, I think it lives about 5 houses up. It mostly hasn't been a problem and we're not feeding it or anything, but just friendly. It is making us think about are we ready to have another one of our own. Maybe we'll just enjoy this visitor for a while without having the attachment like with our dog that died.
