it's so funny your boy is going through a Beach Boys phase while you're going through a S-K phase, because that recently happened in my household too. I really loathe the Beach Boys, S-K kicks so much more ass: they rock harder, they're more political, and not so fun-in-the-sun. I dunno, maybe I'm being harsh, but I have noticed this phenomenon you mention though: the Beach Boys aren't ridiculed, but S-K are. Though thankfully my boy knows better, it's usually our male friends, the dirty cunts.
