yesterday was my 6 month evaluation at work and contrary to my fears i didn't get fired. in fact i got a dollar raise! whooohoo! this makes me mucho happy.
*shoves good news in my parent's face*
went to the sgaz event last night but may as well not have even bothered. i was too fucking shy to say hello. i know they will take it personally but i'm just that way. sometimes it takes awhile for me to warm up to complete strangers. heck, i didn't have the balls to say hi to consuela when i first saw her at "the format"'s show. anyways.
went back home and watched "frida" which totally rocked my world. such a lush, vivid, and perfectly acted film. i was amazed at the cameos sprinkled throughout (antonio banderas, edward norton, geoffrey rush) and thought that they didn't take away from the main focus of the film which is hard to pull off.
the cinematography.....mmmmmmm. the music was probably my favorite part, aside from selma hayek stepping out of herself into the shoes of her artistic hero. all in all, it's a film i'd watch many more times.
