I like The Third Man, but I don't love it. Though I do own it. And it has possibly the most incredible, or at least the most potent, Welles performance he ever gave as a young man. It's a life project of mine to develop a perfect Harry Lime impression, as it is to do a perfect impression of that infamous peas commercial.
nono, i like his work alot
i meant i had shown up in your journal to comment on Han Solo, and the fact that you also like Helmut is extraneous considering I already planned to add you as a friend
any self-respecting library should have it in the children's section
there are two, i believe
one of my favorites as a child
are you familiar with Harold and the Purple Crayon?
yeah, well, adding to the uncomfortable aimlessness is the fact i've bought a house and gotten engaged this year - if those two things don't foist planning on you, i don't know what will... enjoy the present while you can taste it, good sir.
Hank III is good. It's the first Honky Tonk I ever listened to and I love it. As far as Jazz is concernrd, I have a handfull of the old stuff. Coltrane, Ellington, Monk, Holiday, Brubeck etc. It's the new stuff that I am looking for.
It's not necessarily the ka-pow that I'm looking for. I want to find something more light and minimal. I don't know if you know anything about minimal techno or not, but I absolutely love it. The sound that inspired that journal entry was like a slow rolling rhythm with a sequence of sounds dancing on top of it. the sounds resembled melody, but it was more like pieces of different melodies leading into each other one after another. It would come close to the rhythm, almost close enough to be overtaken, but then it would back away again. It was very subtle, it really drew me in and stole all of my attention.
Helmut is extraneous
Sorry 'bout the mess...............
