however since you said it is in the bathroom, it is probably a gfci outlet, meaning it has a "test" and a "reset" button. if it does then press the test button all the way in. there might be a click if it hasnt been triggered yet. you can slowly release the pressure on the test button then press the reset button all the way in. there will most definately be a click then. see if it works now.
sometimes higher current devices trip these things.
Ack. I'm all too familiar with the parking space issue. I don't know HOW many times I had to hunt down an apartment manager to get someone out of my spot in the garage .

Neighbors who park in the wrong spot piss me off seriously. Our downstairs neighbors park in the handicapped spot thats like, ten steps closer to their apartment than their assigned space. Their friends park in our spot sometimes. I just pull my car right up on their car and they have to come knock on my door in order to get their car out. HaHaHaHa, it's so funny when they knock too, all stupid looking like they got caught.
