I'm so jealous of your manual Zenit. How are you that F'ing cool?
rafinhab:
@gazpachochrist Do you know Zenit? HOLLY SHIT, boy! aahahaha I'm a photographer... I"m work with Nikon D750, but my passion is this baby... I really love analog cameras <3
user062322207:
I've always wanted a Zenit, although Russian things are out of favor lately. I'm a self-taught photographer, and was a semi-pro concert photographer for a few years shooting Canon prime lenses only. I mostly shoot touristy snaps now (Los Angeles, London, Tokyo, Berlin, Prague, Brussels, Vienna, Paris, Bratislava) with a small Lumix or Samsung S21 Ultra. But I did just drop off a couple rolls of Ilford XP2 for developing.
darkonc:
I can't see shooting black and white but not doing your own processing and printing.
rafinhab:
@gazpachochrist Damn, how perfect! 😍 My dream is to travel the world photographing with a analog câmera! Ahahahah I’m old fashioned… I love film rolls, the development process… if I could, I’d have a lab at home! x) Today things are very virtual. Not bad, things Just go a lot easier that way. But I miss this more physical thing…
user062322207:
@darkonc - Not everyone can have a dark room. I'm a 21st century digital boy, but fell in love with the long discontinued Kodak BW400CN years ago. The mis-calibrated 1 hour photo machine at Walgreens gave it a cool look.
darkonc:
Developing can be done with a  dark-bag  to transfer the film to the spool and a room that's not  in bright sunlight (or just at night) -- in case the developing tank has a light leak.  If you don't have the room to put together a print process, then you can just use a film scanner at that point -- Pretty easy to fit in a  suitcase.

amei essa foto! 😻
rafinhab:
@babynins 😍 Muito obrigadaaaa hahaha a paixão da minha vida 💕
darkonc:
What are your preferred films?
rafinhab:
@darkonc Good question! Ahahaha... currently, I'm a little away from film reels, but I really like the Kodak Tri-x 400 (BaW). Colorful, I'm in doubt between the Kodak Portra 160 and the Lomography Color 400 (but I think I still prefer the Kodak... besides being cheaper, lol)
darkonc:
I've never heard of Lomography  before, and Portra came out about the time I was moving from film to digital.
