Thanksgiving in South Carolina was great. My favorite memory is biking on the beach, with the ocean to our left, whilst watching my baby get giddy as a schoolgirl over it. She is good to me, honest with me, and emits a warmth that I love to see people warm to.

This time of year is always tought to adjust to. The sudden lack of warmth and light, the tiime of reckoning with the calendar year ending, and even a little reminder of the passing away of my grandmother, Lala, nanny from birth until her death when I was 14. Her body passed away, appropriately, during my Spanish final in 9th grade. Just wish they hadn't told me DURING the final.
