Really, i'm not surprised.

I've long ceased to delude myself that a large community of human-types isn't going to eventually self-destruct by the way of back-biting and cliquish bullshit.

just finished reading your entry- you're not the first to say these things- a lot of other 'oldskoolers' are feeling the same way.

but that's the nature of things isn't it?

some cool people find out about something original and exciting, they have fun with it while it's still uncontaminated by BS and then they go on to find the next thing. isn't it the same with music, art, cinema, and cool industrial neighborhoods which are all of a sudden infested with starbucks?

i'm kinda sad to see all the changes myself- not to mention that i can't even go near the boards without wanting to

, but here's what i think- i have this nice little virtual corner where i can hang out with a few good virtual friends- AND let us not forget the new set every day at 2:00pm which makes my day job reality slightly more tolerable.

i'd say that's worth my $6 dollars a month.
