Today I woke up to a phonecall from my father. My grandfather (mother's dad) had passed in his sleep. I had to go to the church my mother attends and tell her. My mother was a daddy's girl if ever there was one. She is a sweet woman that you never want to see hurt. I had to be the one to tell her. She just lost her sister a few months ago. I had to watch my mother shake and barely hold herself up for her tears. That is a pain I have never know having to be the bearer of such news to the woman I so dearly love. Because of it being such a blow to her of course it became one also to me. It made me realize many things about my own life, and what I hope to have one day. Perhaps these things will come to me. If not there is no need for this breath.
