Music: RJD2's first album Deadringer or Murs' latest album Murs 3:16 Bothe are great albums smile

Books: Anything by Neil Gaiman, especially American Gods and Neverwhere. Not difficult, but damn fun smile
bigblack81:
Music: Madvillian - Madvilliany, Mountain Goats - Tallahassee, Little Brother - The Listening, The Buzzcocks - Singles Going Steady

Books: anything by Yukio Mishima. Not difficult to read but difficicult to fathom. These are books that are challenging mentally and emotionally.

You owe me a random question but here's one for you: what undies make you most glad to be a girl?
bigblack81:
A few things...

- Waking in the morning and having a piss hardon that makes my other hardons seem insignificant.

- Having a hardon. I love cock. I just do. A pretty, well shaped cock is a thing of beauty to me. It doesn't have to be big but it does have to be pretty. (Look at my second set in BigCuddlyBoys for an explanation)

- Being firm and strong when it comes to sex and yet having a tounge and hands that has made women want me to have a sexchange and become a lesbian so they COULD date me. Hah! whatever

- The size difference between me and short girls. I love that feeling of being someone's bodyguard. One fantasy of mine is that I'm doing a reverse Bodyguard, like Kevin Costner was to Whitney Houston. I'm certainly big enough.

And dammit...that was a fucking hotness picture. Oh my fucking goodness....I am THIS close to stroking it. Why must you tease me so?! tongue biggrin

Next question: What bothers you most about modern black culture? This one is a bit out there but it's one I've wondered what other people think about, especialy since I want to do a book with my essays and interviews with other brown folk like us.
mr_ruckus:
The new Zap Mama CD or the new Jill Scott.
Not a difficult read but fun none the least are the vampire huntress books.

The Awakening
The Hunted

/Kinda like Lauren Hill,The Vampire Slayer!

War Is a Force that Gives Us Meaning.
Written by an ex war correspondent, about how the media (both entertainment and news) and the government use war to manipulate us. It's amazing.

or

Hope For the Flowers.
Trust me. Just read it smile

My username comes from the name of a character from the films "Wings of Desire" and "Faraway, So Close." The character of Cassiel was an angel. And also, in angel mythology, Cassiel is the angel of Saturday, as well as the angel of solitude and tears.
cassiel:
Kushiel's Legacy Trilogy?
silvergoat:
The Coming Plague.

It's big, thick and will scare the non-fictioned socks off you.
driana:
CDs - Sarah Harmer - Songs for Clem, Spacehog - Resident Alien, Tegan & Sara - This Business of Art.

Books... um, I recently read Fingersmith and liked that one. Maybe not the most academic book I've ever read but enjoyable nonetheless. And Lolita is a good read.

biggrin kiss

PS - Keep talking about sex whenever you want. So many people won't and there's so much bullshit with all the pretending not to want/like it anyway. Argh.
nocontrol:
Damn, that profile pic is mighty hot. love

"... just finished reading The Kushiel Trilogy: Kushiel's Dart, Kushiel's Chosen, and Kushiel's Avatar. I swear, those are some really great books. I learned so many new words just reading them..."
