i'm happy you weaseled your way out to prom. i was lame and didn't talk to anyone, but it sure was fun cutting a rug with ya!
a good pick for healthy and delicious as well as heaps of info about nutritional science that isn't horrid to read, check out "Eating Well for Optimum Health" by Dr. Andrew Weil. top-notch, and includes the best banana bread recipe of all time.
light cooking hint: replace the alfredo in rose sauce with blendered silken tofu.
i know if i eat much more of this scary suburban parents' food i'm gonna puff up too, or go insane, or both. plus driving everywhere is a killer. it's mostly about exercising for me; i am so fucking lazy. but i have to think of exercise as paying off the caloric debt of drinking in advance, that might actually get results.
You're crazy...I don't believe you!
Actually booze, in moderation, is GOOD for you! Esp red wine (lucky you eh?). It decreases risk for Cardiovascular problems. I just have to work on the moderation bit myself.
In moderation Red Wine is supposed to be good for your heart (or something... I think its the heart.) The Redwood Creek Cabernet Sauvignon 1998 is particularly nice. 2000 is just as nice.
I've also been trying to get healthier lately. I have the opposite problem though - I'm trying to gain weight. I've done a bunch of research lately on nutrition too - especially being a vegetarian. Long story short - broccoli is the king of all vegetables (or queen... sorry girls..)
Moderation is key, although you should probably throw in some exercise beyond not taking the bus in there as well.
